FOLLOWING FURTHER RESEARCH, THE 8TH RIFLE BRIGADE’S HISTORY IS NOW DESCRIBED IN MUCH GREATER DETAIL IN MY RECENT BOOK ‘MOTOR BATTALION’.

Immediately after the war E, F, G and H Companies each published a booklet of roughly 100 pages describing their exploits during the campaign through France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. It seems the 8th Rifle Brigade was quite unique in this respect, as usually such histories were only produced at battalion or divisional level. Concerning HQ Company, no such history seems to exist.
